Commercial and Corporate Law
Our specialisation is in drafting, vetting, and reviewing of contracts across a number of business areas.
Our focus is on compliance with the legislation that governs the parties to the contract, to ensure the drafting of valid and legally binding contracts that affords our clients the maximum protection possible.
In many cases a ‘general’ contract is insufficient and could cause problems for our client if tested in court. Our approach is therefore to proactively ensure that all possible legal risks and concerns are identified and correctly addressed in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures and best practice standards governing our client’s specific industry.
Typical contracts and agreements that we address:
Commercial Contracts
International and/or Cross Border Agreements
Memorandum of Understandings
Shareholders Agreements
Licensing Agreements
Information Technology Agreements
Our Service Promise
From our first contact with a prospective client, we ensure that we thoroughly understand the nature of the business environment in which the client operates. We do so by performing due diligence on our client’s business model and the industry they operate in. Only then can we solve their legal problems effectively and efficiently.
Questions?
Our prospective clients usually have a lot of questions that relate to their personal case. But the questions we hear most often relate to cost, timing and contact person. Here is some guidance:
What are your fees?
We do have standard rates for certain types of contracts and will provide these once we have understood our client’s requirements.
Our corporate clients prefer to negotiate rates based on their budget and needs for ongoing services over a defined period, e.g. three years.
How long does it take?
Our standard turnaround time is between 3 and 4 business days after the receipt of instruction, However, where the instructions are urgent, we respond to client’s instructions within an hour to five hours of receipt of instructions.
Who is my contact person?
All clients, irrespective of position and/or level of juniority or seniority have access to our lead Attorneys on the matter and they can contact them at any time of the day, including after office hours.
